The Long Melford Tea Room

The Long Melford Tea Room, our aim is to provide you with food and drink that is fresh, homemade and sourced as locally as we can, all at an affordable price within a setting that is both homely and welcoming.

Our priority is on home cooked food.
We are proud to have available locally produced honey and a large selection of loose leaf teas for you to take away.

The emphasis on our business has been that, firstly the welcome you receive is warm and friendly secondly the food you eat is as local as we can possibly source and finally the ambiance of the tea room is as relaxed as you could wish for.

All the baking is done from our kitchen just a mile away and we are rated as a 5 star premises by Babergh Council, we have been chosen as a finalist in the Eat Suffolk Food and Drink Awards and we have enjoyed a 5 star rating on Trip Advisor since starting in 2016.

  My boyfriend and I stopped here recently and were very impressed. I had a tuna melt and my boyfriend the brie and caramelised onion chutney toastie which were both delicious and served with a side salad and crisps. The pot of tea was delicious and the staff were very friendly and attentive.
Unfortunately, we didn't have room to sample the lovely homemade cakes but hope to do so in the future.

  Had the best time today, this tea room made our anniversary feel special. There was a lovely welcome with a card on the table, we had afternoon tea, wonderful cakes and sandwiches,  all very fresh, service was brilliant and a great conversation with the owner, the whole experience was friendly, can't wait to return.

  Service could not have been better! A tasty brie and onion chutney toasty, followed by a huge a piece of raspberry and coconut cake! We split it between too, it was delicious. Great coffee too!
