Welcome to the The Long Melford Tea Room, our beautiful historical building has been our home now since 2016 .
The emphasis on our business has always been that firstly the welcome you receive is warm and friendly. Secondly the food you eat is as local as we can possibly source. Finally the ambiance of the tea room is as relaxed as you could wish for.
Awards
All baking is done at our home kitchen just a mile away from The Long Melford Tea Room. We have a 5 star rating for the premises from Babergh Council.
From 2019 to date we are acknowledged by Trip Advisor’s travellers choice. This means we are one of the top 10% of restaurants in the world. We have been fortunate enough to have had reviews in the Times on Sunday and the Sunday Telegraph. As well as many others including “This England“, who voted us as one of “England’s finest tea rooms”. We have also been a finalist in the “Eat Suffolk Food and Drink Awards“.
We continue to enjoy a 5 star rating year after year on Trip Advisor since opening the business in 2016.

We are very fortunate to enjoy visits from regular local customers as well as from all corners of the world. All of whom we consider to be our friends.
Our tea rooms are available to book for a large event. We have hosted weddings, wakes, baby showers and birthdays or even if just a table for afternoon tea for two.
The Long Melford Tea Room is supporting our community
The Long Melford Tea Room have a priority to the betterment of our community. We very proud to support many local groups and charities. This includes the Recitals at Trinity Church, Long Melford FC U14’s, SeeSaw Animal Rescue and a local defibrillator. We have consistently organised MacMillan coffee mornings amongst supporting many other local charities and initiatives.
